Lil' Fishers & Kara's 3rd Birthday Party

Whewwww, ever have one of those weekends that seems like it was an absolute blur?!?! Well this weekend was one of them! We were jam-packed with fun things to do all weekend, and I can't believe it's already over.
Saturday morning we packed up and headed to town for Lil' Fishers. Hmmm, what can I say about Li' Fishers this year? It was humid, packed, and the fish refused to bite poor Gunner & Karlee's fishing poles! Daddy seems to think the fish know inexperianced fishermen when they spot Superman and Princess fishing poles, so Papa John, I know you're not really making fishing poles anymore, but do you think if Gunner & Karlee begged and pleaded you and Swift might be able to make a teensy-weensy exception and build two more poles?!?! It would mean the WORLD to the kiddos and their Mommy too!!! No pressure...just think about it :)
Anyway, as you'll be able to tell by the pictures, Gunner got a little bored with "fishing" and deciding to try some "Catching"...he JUMPED IN THE LAKE AFTER THE MINNOWS. I'm SO serious. Check out the pictures for yourself. He goes from sweet, handsome little Gunner, to Muddy-Buddy real quick! And if once wasn't enough he did it 2 more times. He couldn't understand why the minnows were gone before he hit the water! That being said, YES, there are a BUNCH more pictures of Karlee than Gunner this time. That's because 1) He was always standing right infront of his Daddy with Daddy hanging on for dear life (Daddy kinda blocked the picture) or 2) He was sitting on the sidewalk drying off. He seriously wanted to be in the water CATCHING fish so bad I couldn't get a nice picture of him just fishing! Maybe next year, huh? Okay, okay, enough chatting, here are the pictures!

Later Saturday afternoon we headed back to town for Kara's 3rd Birthday! It's hard to believe Kara is already 3...WOW, how time flies! We had so much fun playing at the park, eating cake and ice cream and visiting with friends. Scott and I both agreed as we left, it's just NICE getting to hang out with Travis and Holly's family (like Moms, Dads, Grandparents). They really have become like our extended family, and are always to willing to make us feel at home and feel apart of their family. It's just NICE having people like that in our lives since we're so far away from our real families. So if any of you are reading this, THANK YOU for being so great to us and our kiddos!

  1. The time really does seem to fly by with the kiddos!! Gunner jumping in after his little fish and Karlee with her little skirt and pink boots are just too cute for words! Their little characters you can clearly see in your beautiful photographs. I am so happy to see that Karlee is feeling better. I hope you guys have a great week!

I agree with Gunner, if you can see them why can't you just jump in and catch them...soon enough he will be doing that too!!
