Okay, wait. While I still have your attention, I have to tell you what an amazing visit we had with Gunner & Karlee's Papa and Noni. They were wonderful guests, and we can't wait until they come back.
Here's the arrival: the kids were so excited they were beating on the front door!

Then it was taco-time, and after dinner they got to play on the floor.

Here's a week full of fun playing outside and around the house...they even got to build a fort in the living room while Scott and I were at work, how fun is that?!!

Papa took the kids for train rides (that they LOVED!) Papa is a genius. He created the coolest train in the world, that was so wonderful it almost lulled the kids to sleep! He even let the kids drive. They LOVED it.

Scott and John worked in the pasture

..and poor Gunner couldn't understand why he couldn't go help!
Then Scott smacked himself with a post hole digger, so he got to spend the rest of the day with ice on his head
...Gunner had sympathy pains, so Scott shared his ice
Papa brought home the bacon and shot a wild hog

and then the guys went Bass fishing

We got lucky enough to have John and Deb go to Church with us too!

On the fourth of July, the day started out like any other Holiday. The kids got dressed and looked super cute in the patriotic outfits

Then, out of nowhere they decided to jump in the pool....clothes, shoes and ALL!

Then Papa thought, "Hmmm, if they can do it, why can't I?" and he jumped in...socks and ALL! The kids thought it was the coolest thing in the world...and so did I!!! What an awesome Papa! And what memories he made for ALL of us!

After swimming and naptime we BBQ'd and ate homeade icecream and cobbler. Our friends Travis, Holly and Kara surprised us and stopped by for awhile and played with the kids. Then as the sun went down we got to do FIREWORKS!
Here they are watching them go off

and then here's the rest!

On their last play-day they got to go to town and go to the park

and Papa and Noni treated them to McDonalds for their very first chicken McNuggets:)We had such a great week with Papa and Noni, but as with all of our visitors, it ended WAY TOO SOON. When they walked out this morning the kids cried BIG alligator tears. Thank you for all that you did!!!

Oh my goodnees your kids are so lucky to have such AWESOME grandparents! It looks like the grandparents had as much fun as the kids did! You should have made them stay forever!
ReplyDeleteLooks like everyone had tons of fun! Love all the pictures!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great trip for the kids. Your kids have such big adorable smiles. Miss you guys. I think Grant may have another tractor for Scott so we may pay a visit.
