Karlee and I headed off on a Big....no, HUGE adventure last weekend. We loaded up our stuff and jumped on an airplane bound for the beautiful, sunny shores of CALIFORNIA! The boys stayed home and enjoyed some great "boy-bonding" time full of cheeseburgers, donuts and working the cattle. We went to California for my best friend, Linzy's baby shower. She's expecting her first baby, a baby boy to be named Ty in late September, and we were so excited that it worked out that we were able to attend her baby shower. Linzy and I have been best buddies since the first day of the 5th grade and she's been there through all of my ups and downs from losing both of my parents, to my wedding, to having Gunner & Karlee, so to miss something so eventful would have broken my heart. Luckily I was able to save up enough money from some photo shoots and was able to make the trip. While we were there we stayed with my Grammie and it was so nice to get to spend quiet, quality time with her. She absolutely adored Karlee and Karlee absolutely loved her right back. We also got to attend a family reunion, and got to have some very special visitors over for dinner!

Karlee on the airplane (yes, she is obsessed with her boots and must wear them everywhere, and with every outfit....even if it doesn't quite match!)

Karlee & I at Panda Express...one of my Cali must-have's!

Feeding the deer some yummy carrots with Aunt Chelle

If Deer like carrots so much, why don't cats?!?!

Hanging with cousin Ashlee!

SO tired she almost fell asleep standing up (She had been up since 2am Texas time, so she had a pretty good reason!)

On Friday night we were lucky enough to get to have dinner with Brad, Michele, Ashlee, John and Deb. They were wonderful enough to make the drive out to Lockwood to come see Karlee and I. We LOVED getting to see them and were so thankful that they were willing to give up their Friday night to come see us. Karlee had a great time with her cousin Ashlee trying to catch a bunny in the backyard and sitting on the 4-wheeler, and had a great visit with her Aunt Michele, Uncle Brad, Papa and Noni!

Opening up a surprise from Grandma Linda with a little help from Auntie Aims

Helping Great Grammie water the yard

It was a whirlwind trip but we fit in time to meet Jim and Kathy for Breakfast on Saturday morning. We even got to stop by and see Alyssa who was going a carwash for her cheerleading squad.

Josh & Linzy's baby shower was on Saturday. With all of the fun goodies they got the only thing they are missing is Baby Ty who should be here in a couple more months!

Karlee & Great Grammie trying to catch the infamous Bunny

Grammie making Karlee her first waffle, and getting a little extra help "perfecting" it :)

Playing with her boots

And her socks!

Roth-family reunion where we got to see LOTS of aunts, Uncles and cousins!

Stopped by the lake to visit one of my favorite people, Bob! We started out at the lake life guarding together many years ago, but being retired law enforcement he couldn't stay away from the badge for long so he became a ranger. I Love this man :)

Auntie Aims couldn't resist letting Karlee put her feet in the same water that Amy and I have created so many memories at!

Poor Uncle Tom and Aunt Wendy getting drug outside to look for that darn rabbit (again!)
My Uncle Tom, Aunt Wendy, Colby, Tom, Uncle Jimmy, Blake, Jessica, Bev and Amy came out to the house Sunday afternoon after the family reunion so we got to spend some extra time with them. Karlee loved being the center of attention.

As always our trip was over way to quickly. We had such a great time at the baby shower, the family reunion, the visits and spending time with each and every one of you that we got to see. From the bottom of our heart's thank you to all of you for coming out to see us. We will treasure this trip and our memories forever!

And some last-minute Great-Grammie Lovin' before we left :)
