Karlee had her EEG on Friday, and it went good. We stayed up most of the night, falling asleep only a couple of times. W got to the hospital a little late (gotta love Dallas car accidents and rush-hour traffic!), and they got Karlee right in. Karlee loved checking in and chatting with the secretary, but wasn't so crazy about a lady drawing all over her head with a colored pencil, and then sticking little electrodes to her scalp with goo and tape. She didn't mind being wrapped like a mummy, or the napping part, but waking up and having all of that tape pulled out of her hair was another story.
The results came back great! The doctor IS concerned that she has had so many seizures at such a young age, but he said for NOW we will try to wait this out without putting her on medication. Keep your fingers crossed! He said that the EEG showed no evidence of epilepsy, so he believes her seizures are definetely febrile seizures.
Okay, picture time!
Here we are checking in and getting a cool bracelet:

And here we are getting our head measured and electrodes stuck on, and then getting wrapped up like a mummie:

Here she is AFTER the procedure getting unwrapped...probably her most un-enjoyable moment! Check out that wild-woman hair!

And lastly, here she is at the neurologists office:

She is the cutest little mummy! Give her and G-man kisses from Uncle Josh, I and baby!
ReplyDeleteOh Lyndee I can't imagine what you and Scott have been going through. I'm glad the prognosis is positive so far.
ReplyDeleteGood thing KArlee had practice being a mummy last Halloween - she was a pro this time.
