Last weekend we had our friends, Travis, Holly & Kara over for a BBQ....at least that's how it was supposed to go! It ended up pouring cats and dogs all morning, so we crock-potted a pork roast. Then as luck would have it the clouds parted, the sun came out and it was a pretty day, so we hung out outside while our dinner finished cooking. The kids had a blast playing with someone their own age, and we had fun talking to people our own age, so everyone was happy. Can't wait to get to do it again you guys :)
Then this past weekend we finished up our garden. The poor garden has been on the back-burner for the past couple of weeks, so we finally found some free time to get those veggies in the ground. We have a giant garden that would make our Aunt Vivie proud! We have regular and cherry tomatoes, lettuce, corn, okra, string beans, cantaloupe, watermelon, banana peppers, red and green bell peppers, yellow and green squash, eggplant, cilantro & jalapenos....I think that's all, but I might be forgetting a thing or two! So this summer our house is the place to be for fresh veggies and fruit! We also have a couple fruit trees we stuck in the ground a couple weeks ago :) Gunner & Karlee LOVE watering as you can see in these pictures.
They are such good helpers! Love you guys!
