Sunday morning Scott and I awoke to the sounds of Gunner and Karlee coming through the baby monitor. They were laughing and cooing at each other, so we laid and listened to it for a good 15 minutes before we finally pulled ourselves out of bed. What we walked in to was beyond belief. The curtain was still pulled in the nursery so I could only make out the bare-naked butt of Karlee standing up in her crib. As I got closer I could see the diaper lying in a pile at the head of her crib, and inside that diaper I could see a darker color. Before I could help it I yelled “OH NO!” which caused Scott to come running from our bedroom. As he walked in he flipped on the light switch and that’s when we saw it: POOP EVERYWHERE! All over the crib, the sheets, and all over Karlee. From head to toe she had painted her body with the stuff. And you should have seen her: grinning from ear to ear! Clapping her hands (flinging more poop), patting her chest (flinging more poop), and touching the crib (flinging more poop). Scott quickly started the bath and took her into it. As I pulled the sheets off of her crib and wiped it down with baby wipes I could hear Scott telling her how gross it is to play in your own poop and then I heard him gag….SHE HAD IT ON HER TEETH! I know, YUCK!!!
And you know what sweet little Gunner did this whole time? Sat in his crib and smiled. I guess he thought this was the funniest thing he had seen his entire life.

That is the funniest, cutest yet grossest story!! If only you had it all on camera. I can only imagine what a mess that must have been to clean up but looking back that is probably going to bring a lot of laughs. Gunner just watching makes it even greater. How cute is that? That he just set there smiling and that little Karlee was so proud of herself. Too cute!!

I laughed so hard while reading this. And not becuase it happened, but becasue Caleigh and Claire do the same thing (yes still). It is hillarious, and gross, and I gag too so I can't laugh at Scott for that. I love that you are doing this blog I only wish that I was a good enough writer to do so myself.
