While on our vacation I watched as my Grandma spoiled Gunner & Karlee absolutely rotten. It’s funny to see my Grammie with Gunner & Karlee. My Grandma is as tough as it gets. She is the true representation of a Cowboy’s wife, and lived most of her days roping, riding and gathering cattle, all while keeping 5 children and a husband fed and well taken care of. I admire her strength, however, she is not normally a touchy-feely-gushy-type Grandma. She wasn’t one who picked me up and took me shopping or painted my toenails. I can remember being young and falling at the bottom of her hill and her driving down to pick my sobbing self up, and saying very matter-of-factly “Lyndee get in the car”… so to see her with Gunner & Karlee smooching all over them is the coolest thing in the world. And don’t get me wrong! She loved all over me growing up, and would have given me anything I wanted…BUT! There were certain things that I would have NEVER gotten away with like Gunner & Karlee can!!! They can walk on water and do no wrong in her eyes, and I love it :) On the second to last day of our trip the kids and I loaded up and made a surprise trip out to see her. We only had a couple hours before our next commitment, but I decided I couldn’t think of a better way to spend those few hours than with her. When we arrived she was SO happy! Her and the kids played in the living room, then played cards, then she pulled out some Flinstones push up pops…sooo good! I can remember having those growing up and Gman and KJ loved them as much as I did.

…remember how I said they can get away with ANYTHING? Take a look at how Gunner played cards….52 card pickup and whenever I would scold him Grammie would say “It’s okay!”
