who drove all the way from California to Texas to bring us a tractor? Well they came back this year to spend a week with us and I cannot believe how much Lucy has grown! She is walking around now and is the most beautiful little girl you have ever seen. AND, unlike my two stinkers, she doesn't throw temper-tantrums yet, so everything about her is perfect :)We had a great visit with Grant and Treva. Scott put Grant to work fixing anything and everything that needed a mechanical guru, so this trip wasn't very relaxing for poor Grant. He replaced a hitch on our gooseneck and then did some shredding. I guess the trip wasn't ALL work for poor Grant. He did kill a Buck (Yay Grant!) so the kids had a great time bouncing around on it. The kiddos played in the yard a lot and we called all of the cows up so Lucy could pet them. We also let the kids jump on Molly for a quick horseback ride and a photo opportunity. Then on Thursday we all packed up and headed to go for a swamp tour on Caddo Lake in Uncertain, Texas. The tour was fun and the captain even let the kids drive. Karlee refused but Gunner & Lucy gave it a try. As you will see in one of the pictures, Karlee had an accident so she got to spend the last 10 minutes of the boat ride without her pants. She might kill me someday for taking a picture, but oh well! After we left the swamp we stopped off in Jefferson, Texas and had lunch at one of my favorite places, a place where you can get a cornbread sandwich. YUMMO! We also had pie and cobbler which was an extra nice treat! Later that evening we went to town to a seafood place in town that serves cajun-type food, and as luck would have it it was karaoke night so the kids had fun singing along to the music and rocked out to a few songs.
As with all of our visitors the time went by way too quickly and before we knew it they were already packing up and heading back to California. We had such a great time and really hope this is an annual tradition!

...oh, what's with the Cash for Gold limo??? I'm not really sure, actually! It was parked in Jefferson and I'm not sure if someone is mocking the whole 'Cash for Gold' thing, or if this car seriously is advertisement like, "look what you can buy if you sell all of your gold"....it was so odd-looking that I had to get a picture!

The kids just get cuter and cuter! I miss you guys so so much! We can't wait to bring Ty to Texas! Love you guys!
