We had planned on going to a Mardi Gras parade on Saturday...would have been our first REAL Mardi Gras parade EVER, but as luck would have it, I came down with a HORRIBLE case of the flu saturday, so that nixed any chance of catching some sparkly beads for our family. Gunner & Karlee didn't mind. They got to play with their Grandma and Grandpa in the backyard, so life was fun for them! I'm so sad we missed the parade and mine and Scott's "date night", but there's always next year! As long as my family is healthy, that's all that matters :) Seeing the kids run around and play and squeal with delight is worth more than a bunch of topless ladies and a chic-flick any day of the week. Gunner & Karlee are getting spoiled rotten, but we don't mind. That's what Grandparents are for...to do the fun stuff that Mom's and Dad's don't let happen on a regular basis! After watching Gunner & Karlee play with their Grandma and Grandpa you can tell they are the love of their Grandparent's eyes, and I can assure you that the love is mutual! Happy Tuesday :)
