1st trip to the Petting Zoo!

This past weekend was our local county fair in Mt. Pleasant, so Gunner & Karlee got to visit their very first petting zoo! Since Scott and I love animals SO MUCH we were hoping Gunner & Karlee wouldn't be too afraid of all of the animals, but as we arrived a couple kids about Gunner & Karlee's age left in tears, so it didn't look too positive for our two munchkins. I don't know what we were afraid of, because they LOVED IT! They absolutely LOVED all of the animals, and all of the animals LOVED them! This particular petting zoo was the coolest one I've ever been to (and being the animal-lover that I am I've been to a bunch! The animals were all VERY healthy, very tame, and very friendly. They had such an incredible assortment of animals, too. They had goats, quite a few lambs, llamas, a camel, bunnies, scottish highlander coos (cows), a zebra, a couple donkeys, and a a HUGE turtle! It was the neatest thing to watch: the excitement and amazement of Gunner & Karlee's faces as the animals came up nose to nose with them. They were captivated and in awe of the animals all around them. And my little walker-girl, Karlee, was everywhere. All of a sudden she has learned to practically run! At one moment all of us were playing with the turtle, and the next moment I turned around and she was running across the petting zoo! Gunner has a new talent: Kisses! My loveable little boy not only kisses all of the pretty ladies that we know, he now kisses animals too. Every animal that came within kissing distance got a huge wet one planted directly on their nose!
It was definetley Daddy-Daycare this weekend: I had a Cookie Lee booth at the fair, so Scott had the little ones all evening Friday, and then Saturday from 9am-10 pm...I am SO lucky to be married to such a great guy. A lot of Dad's would be inconvenienced by the thought of having their children ALL day by themselves, but not my Hubby. They go with him everywhere. He had to work on the barn, so they worked on the barn with him. He had to take his tree stand out of our back pasture, so they helped take it down. He had to put the tree stand up at his deer lease, so they went and helped him put it up. Everywhere he needs to go he takes them, and with a smile on his face. Yep, definetely Daddy-Daycare, and I couldn't imagine a better Daddy!
Okay, enough babbling...here are the pictures!!!
