California 2010 Vacation: Days 4 & 5

Day 4 & 5 of our California Vacation had surrounded by family & friends, which was exactly where we wanted to be. Although it's nice to go do 'things' while on vacation, where we really want to be is enjoying quality time with the people we love & don't get to see very often, so Sunday & Monday we spent visiting with my Willoughby side of the family, went to Ty's birthday party and then headed down to Morro Bay to do family pictures with some of the Rodgers clan (Beach pictures still to come!)
Sunday morning Scott left the house before sunrise to go to the lake to fish with Ben & his Dad. We (Gunner, Karlee & I) got up bright and early at my Grammie's so the kids could spend a couple more hours with their cousin and Karlee's newfound BFF Karis. Grammie made her delicious pancakes which was so nice. I'm not sure if everyone knows, but my Grammie got really sick about a month and a half ago and we almost lost her, so to have her home, healthy enough to spend quality time with us was such a blessing from God. It truly meant the world to me.
After breakfast we got a lesson in making homemade tortillas. It was so fun to spend time in the kitchen with my Aunt & Brandi! I'm not sure i can ever recreate those tasty treats, but I am sure going to try!
After tortilla-time, we cleaned up and went down to the barn to snap some Great Grammie pics with the kids. They did great and I'm so happy with how the pictures turned out. Even my cousin's dogs posed for a quick shot!
After pictures we said our very sad goodbye's to my Uncle Jimmy, cousin Brad, his wife Brandi and little girl Karis and headed to town for my nephew Ty's 1st birthday! It was so nice to be in town to be able to attend his party! He is ADORABLE! Biggest blue eyes you have ever seen and I love him so much!
Sunday evening we headed to Morro Bay for family pics, but more on that later...don't want to bore you too much! No, truthfully I have a couple more edits to do so I will do a whole post just on that!
Monday we spent the day being lazy at my Grammie's, truly what vacation is all about!
Later in the day Josh, Linz & Ty came out to spend a little more time with us which was so nice! Then Amy, Katy & Bev came over along with most of my Willoughby family: Uncle Tom, Aunt Wendy, Tom, Sarah, Blake & Jessika. We had such a great evening with them...only problem was it ended too soon!
I will treasure the time spent in Lockwood with my Grammie for the rest of my life. It was certainly a trip to remember :)
