Vacation Bible School, Water fun day and a Storm...

Last weekend our Church did a Vacation Bible School for the kids in our community. The group that put VBS on worked SO HARD and I am so lucky to go to Church with them because they are some talented & loving people! Gunner & Karlee were a little too young for VBS this year, but they still got to stay for a little bit of it before Scott picked them up. For the time that they stayed they really seemed to enjoy themselves and they can't WAIT for next year.
After VBS the Church had a water slide and Slip N Slide for all of the kids to play on. My little water babies LOVED the water as usual. While we were all playing on the slides the sky got real dark, lightning started flashing and thunder started rolling. It rained for a few minutes but not enough to make anyone quit playing in the water. After that it cleared up and life went on.
...until we topped the hill to our house! It looked like a bomb went off along our property. Trees had fallen across the road, tin had flown off of the barn and dog kennels, the kids swimming pool was in the county road, our flag pole was shredded, dogs were out running around and an entire dog kennel had FLOWN across our yard, through a fence and out into our pasture!!! CRAZY! We were lucky that no one was home, no one got hurt, and nothing (besides replaceable items!) were damaged. God is good!

  1. Wow Lyndee I can't can't believe the mess you came home too! Think a small tornado developed over your house? What a shame. But it could have been way worse. And I'm so glad Travis and Holly came to help you guys too. They seem like great friends. It looks like you all had a great time at your church though! Scott and you didn't go through the tunnel this time? ;D
