Saturday was hot....really HOT. Scott & Travis spent all morning working hogs and just watching them made it even hotter. I wanted to swim. The local pool was closed, teh State park where we have gone before was being remodeled and I was soooo sad! Somehow, someway, Holly & I talked them in (I can't take much credit...Holly did ALL of the work) into taking all of us to Beaver's bend for a quick road trip. By the time we made sandwiches and got on the road it was almost 4pm...luckily it was still nice and HOT by the time we got there...and boy was that water COLD!!! We had a great time cooling off and then went exploring picking out the perfect campsite for a later trip.
On the way out we stopped off to recreate some special moments we shared on our first ever road trip with the kids when they were soooo tiny!
What a great weekend we had!
Sunday after the feed store we stopped by the grocery store and the kids got to ride the horse :)
what a fun time, and I LOVE spur of the moment things they are the best!!! Glad Travis, Holly and Kara were able to join you too!
