Christmas Eve started out at Scott’s Brother’s house for their yearly Breakfast feast. I don’t know what time Michele & her Mom started cooking, but my goodness they had to have been up all night slaving away. Breakfast was delicious! We had such a great time getting to visit and spend time with everyone. Gunner & Karlee learned way too quickly that their Uncle Brad has a soft spot for them and would give them anything they wanted…including M&M’s!!! They found his secret stash and he was more than happy to share :) They also got to know their cousins Ashlee, Marisa and Mayci. Even today (what are we at, 3 weeks later?) they STILL say “Where Ashee go? Where Missa go? Where Mayci go? We go play with them?” so it’s safe to say they think they have pretty cool cousins and that those girls made a HUGE impression on them! After breakfast, Uncle Brad and Aunt Michele took them outside to their ‘Winter Wonderland’….and HOLY MOLY! Talk about Christmas decorations!!! Their lights even blinked to the Christmas music they had going. Of course Karlee had to bust a move and start dancing for the snowman and Santa! We had so much fun spending the morning with everyone!

Later that day we headed out to my Grandma’s for her yearly Christmas Eve dinner and visit from Santa. Since all of us Grandkids have grown up, it’s been a couple years since she had had Santa come to deliver gifts, but since Gunner & Karlee were there she talked the Jolly man into stopping by to see us. When Santa walked in the kids faces lit up…I thought we might get by with no tears, but no luck! Gunner was fine walking up to him to get his present, but when he realized he had to sit on his lap he wanted no part of it. Once he started crying Karlee started (still sitting on Scott’s lap). She cried because Gunner was crying and because she KNEW she was next! By the time it was her turn to sit on his lap she was in complete hysterics. BUT it couldn’t have been too bad because they gladly gave him a hug goodbye! After Santa left we sat down for my favorite meal my Grammie cooks, enchiladas with homemade tortillas!!! SO GOOD. Gunner & Karlee (still on Texas time) were actually so tired that in the middle of opening presents they both laid down on the ground to rest. Poor things! So after a great day full of M&M’s, presents, visits with family, Homemade ice cream and love they fell fast asleep.
After they were down the “big kids” stayed up to socialize and play cards. SUCH a great day!!!

We are so glad that you guys were able to make. It meant so much to us! We love and miss you all so much! (P.S. I found Uncle Brad's stash of M & M's.)
