Idaho Hunting trip

Scott and I headed to Idaho for a hunting trip, and minus missing the kiddos like crazy, we had the time of our life! Baja and Grandma were kind enough to fly to Texas to watch Gunner & Karlee for us, which was so nice. If you read the story below you will see just how much fun they had! WOW, what a couple of days they had :)
Scott drove all the way from Texas to Wyoming hauling some steers..what a long trip. I got lucky and got the luxury of flying in to Salt Lake City and then driving the rest of the way to Wyoming. We stayed in Wyoming, but hunted in Idaho.
Friday morning we got up bright and early and set out to kill a monster. As you'll see by my pictures he's not a monster, but for my first buck I'm not complaining! What was really cool was I found him myself...the boys were ready to pack up and call it a day and I spotted him! Anyway, one shot, one kill...would you expect anything less of me?!?! Haha, I can sound snobby since I'm the only one that came home with blood on my hands. Yup, poor Scott didn't get anything. And no fault of his own. He hunted, walked and rode his butt off (15-mile horseback ride to prove it!) but there just weren't many deer and elk walking around in the warm weather. 70-75 degree days the entire time we were there.
Although he didn't get anything we had a great time. The country was beautiful. Hills and mountains and waterfalls....LOVED IT! The little town where our friends live is so cute and quaint. It's what you see on a movie and think that something that small and cozy doesn't really exist anymore, but after staying there I can tell you it DOES still exist! We went to a football game for the local high school on Friday afternoon. They have to play day-games since they don't have lights in their stadium. All of the people at the game drive right up and park their cars all the way around the field. When the home-team scores a touchdown everyone flashes their headlights and honks their horns...how cute is that!

As I said earlier, we had a great time, but it was so nice to be home with Gunner and Karlee again.

...And in case you're keeping track: Wife + 1 Husband +0 ....hehehe :)
