A couple months ago I checked the mail to find a little package from Grant, Treva and Lucy addressed to Scott. When he got home he ripped the package open to reveal a little envelope full of honeydew melon seeds. Apparently a couple days earlier Scott had been telling Grant he hadn't had a good honeydew melon since we left California. That very day he tilled up an area of the garden and got the seeds in the ground the same week. Almost daily he gives us updates of the melons...how many are on the vine, how many more are growing, how many are "almost" ready to pick...and FINALLY! He came running up the hill a couple days ago with a melon in his arms. As you can tell it was a HUGE melon and the doodlebugs LOVED it!
Thank you Grant and Treva for thinking of us...it is definetely the gift that keeps on giving :)
