Church water fun day!

This past Sunday our Church had a water fun day. We met up with Travis, Holly and Kara to have some fun in the sun. We carried along Gunner & Karlee's kiddie pool thinking they would be a little too young to enjoy the water slides and slip N' slides....we were a little wrong and have come to the conclusion we MUST be holding our kids back and not allowing them to "play" to their full potential because they LOVED the big kid toys! Gunner was such a big boy after a couple times down with the girls he did the slide all by himself! Here they are around the Church and on the big kid slide:

Slip N' Slides are fun....at least they were when I was little and weighed less than 50 pounds. These days you wouldn't see me even THINKING of slip N' sliding....until we saw the latest, greatest, newly updated PADDED Slip N' Slide! It's pumped full of air so it doesn't HURT when you slide on it! Hmmmm, it doesn't hurt unless you go so fast that you fly off the end and into the arena, huh Scott?!?! Here's his first attempt: He ran so hard that the little bumper at the end (that's supposed to stop you!) bounced him right out into the pasture!
Gunner and Karlee LOVED the slip N' Slide...much more than the loved the big slide. Here they are watching and deciding if they really wanted to do it: Uncle Travis told Scott that he had thrown Kara down in and to give it a try with Gunner & Karlee....I gritted my teeth and held my breath. At first I wasn't sure if Karlee was laughing or crying because she made a funny sound the entire way down...and then I saw the biggest smile I'd ever seen!
They laughed and screamed with delight, and didn't quite understand having to wait in line and wait their turn. They cheered for everyone else as they ran by too!

SOOOO much fun! Scott's even trying to talk me in to renting the slip N' slide for the kids Birthday party.....I'm thinking Scott had a little too much fun, don't you?!?! Although I could be wrong...even this morning Gunner and Karlee kept saying "Slide! Slide! Slide!" All the way to school :)

  4. Considering Scott is a kid himself still I'm not surprised by how much fun he had. But yes, you need to get a slide for the kids birthdy. Glad you guys had a great time!! Hope to visit soon!
