Watermelon Fastival '08

This past weekend was the 70th annual Watermelon festival in Naples, Texas. Scott & I go every year, but were extra excited to share it with Gunner & Karlee for the first time. Gunner & Karlee got to go for their 1st Pony ride!!! I'm a little snobby, but I think those are the CUTEST little Cowboy & Cowgirl I've ever seen, don't you?
After they rode the ponies it was time to head over to the all-you-can-eat Watermelon, and boy did they eat!!! It only took about 5 seconds for them to realize they could actually eat the watermelon...after that it was all over with!


Gunner ate like a Gentleman, and Karlee...well, you can see how Karlee ate-her face was buried in the watermelon practically the entire time! It was hysterical! And man was it HOT-The heat index was 110 and it zapped us! After Gunner & Karlee filled up on Watermelon we headed home for a nap....me & my little guy snuggled while Karlee & her Daddy watched a hunting show on TV. Later that night we headed back to Naples for the rodeo. Talk about a "Texas-sized" Grand-entry...look at all of the horses! And look at my little Cowboy wearing Travis' hat! He thought he was pretty darn cute, and so did all of the girls!
As we were leaving the rodeo Scott had to prove he's the world's BEST DADDY by playing a carnival game and winning a toy!!! As usual it was a great weekend...but we can't wait until the next weekend so we can kick back and relax!
